For Angela Ludwig, Executive Director at The Malvern School of Blue Bell, her 2019 Executive Director of the Year award isn’t the first time her success has landed her in the spotlight. During her time with The Malvern School, Angela has been named Executive Director of the Year both in 2016 and 2019, opened a new Malvern School location now on a waiting list extending beyond 2020, and received the 2019 Alex’s Lemonade Stand Top Fundraiser award for her school’s fundraising efforts of over $20,000. Blue Bell has also received several awards under her leadership including the Rising Star Award in 2017, President’s Choice Award in 2019, and the 2019 Superior Achievement Award.

However, her accomplishments do not stop there. Beyond bringing a prestigious educational program to the Blue Bell community, Angela, along with her Director of Education, lead her team to their 2019 NAEYC Accreditation; landing their program in the top ten percent of early childhood education centers in the country. So, what’s the secret to Angela’s bountiful success? “Patience, consistency, continuous reflection, and the willpower to hold myself to a high standard of excellence,” she tells The Malvern School.

With nearly 20 years of experience under her belt, there’s no question as to what inspired Angela to start her journey in early childhood education. “It’s an incredible feeling making a difference in a child’s life. I take great pride knowing that the skills we teach children today are building the foundation for their future.”Fast forward years later, Angela says she wakes up inspired to be the best version of herself for a job that doesn’t feel like work at all.

For teachers who may hope to be in her shoes one day, Angela’s utmost advice is to invest in yourself and stay dedicated. “Keep setting goals and don’t lose sight of the small accomplishments that help you to achieve larger ones. Have trust in the process and have patience- you’ve got this!”

Angela personifies The Malvern School’s core values in her work every day, inspiring her team and instilling passion in all aspects of her career. There’s no doubt that the sky is the limit for Angela, and The Malvern School is happy to help her get there!
