For Early Childhood Education

The Malvern Way™

The Malvern Way focuses on engaging the ‘whole’ child in an environment where children develop acceptance, respect, care and encouragement toward each other, while fostering a lifelong love of learning. Childhood is a unique and valuable stage of life and a high-quality, developmentally appropriate program is essential for children to reach their full potential. Our partnership with families provides a trusted, intentional, and well-rounded early childhood experience that includes a diverse curriculum, highly trained teachers and staff, open communication between parents and the school, stringent internal quality standards, and an authentic observation assessment tool that captures a child's progress in meeting developmental goals.
The Malvern Way is who we are, how we teach, and how we all engage to always put the children first.

OUR MISSION

The Malvern School is dedicated to educating young children through diverse and innovative programming. When choosing The Malvern School, families’ expectations are met through our commitment to providing the finest curriculum and staff, all in a nurturing environment. At The Malvern School, your child will learn and feel loved.

NAEYC Accreditation

The Malvern School curriculum is designed to meet or exceed the standards established by the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC), the nation’s largest early childhood accrediting organization. Daycares or preschools that meet NAEYC’s standards of excellence provide an environment with a focus on health and safety, have teachers who are well trained, have access to excellent teaching materials, and work with curriculum that is appropriately challenging and developmentally sound to provide high-quality education for children in Pennsylvania and New Jersey. We are making every effort for all of The Malvern Schools to achieve NAEYC accreditation.

Commitment to Health & Safety

At The Malvern School, always putting the children – and their health and safety – first is a responsibility that we are committed to delivering on every day. Since our founding in 1998, our rigorous health and safety protocols have played a major role in building our team of 600+ teachers and staff and shaping nurturing learning environments for 40,000+ students. Our health and safety standards exceed early childhood education requirements and are some of the most robust in the industry. Learn more about our commitment to health and safety.

Experienced Staff & Faculty

Our teachers are college educated in either early childhood education and/or elementary education and have a wealth of experience in the field. Our Lead Teachers plan, supervise and implement an early childhood education program in accordance with The Malvern School philosophy and NAEYC standards. Along with the Assistant Teacher, they plan developmentally appropriate activities that take into account each child’s individual skills, interests, talents and special needs. Each of our schools is lead by an Executive Director and a Director of Education.

Preparing Children for the Future

The Malvern School provides a learning environment in which children develop acceptance, respect, care, and encouragement for each other. Our developmentally appropriate curriculum provides for your child’s physical, emotional, social, and cognitive growth. All of this is accomplished within a safe, healthy and nurturing environment.

Based on your child’s age and developmental level, he or she will take part in activities aimed at developing and enhancing fine and large motor skills; multicultural awareness; social emotional and self-help skills; language, math, science, music, and art experiences.

Parent Participation

The Malvern School knows today’s parents want to receive communication that is timely and informative. We are proud to partner with Tadpoles, a system that our teachers and directors use to electronically send Daily Profiles, informational emails, and pictures to parents. Along with our other methods of communication, this customized program offers families the most effective and efficient source of daily information including class lessons and activities, reminders and announcements, notes on your individual child’s progress, and photos of the fun and learning!

Learning Stations & Play Areas

The Fascination Station and Discovery Room are age appropriate, custom-designed rooms where your child will have daily unlimited opportunities to see, touch, and do through hands-on learning stations. The learning stations focus on sensory experiences, the arts, reading, manipulative play, and dramatic play. Our Fascination Station is a favorite among our Toddler children, and the Discovery Room is a special place for our Get-Set through After School students. Take a virtual tour of our learning stations.

Quality Assurance

The first responsibility of The Malvern School is to provide a high quality program. In our efforts to continually improve our programs, our Quality Standards team conducts annual reviews. During the Quality Standards Review, our validators assess the overall program and concentrate on the following:

  • Health and Safety
  • Educational Program
  • School Appearance
  • Staff Development

We realize that feedback from parents and staff plays an instrumental role in the quality of our program. Therefore, parents and staff receive surveys to complete as part of our continued effort to meet parent, children and staff needs.

Programs for Infants Through Pre-K

Our early childhood education programs for children ages 6 weeks through 8 years old offer much more than traditional Glen Mills daycare and childcare options.
