Leading preschool and child care center again recognized among top programs in the U.S. with accreditation from NAEYC The Malvern School is thrilled to announce that its  preschool and child care center in Warrington, Pennsylvania has again earned accreditation from the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC) – solidifying its rank as one of the top early childhood education programs in the nation. Less than 10 percent of all child care centers, preschools and kindergartens in the U.S. are accredited by NAEYC, the world’s largest organization working on behalf of young children. “NAEYC Accreditation is the gold standard for early learning, and we’re incredibly proud to earn this mark of quality for the second time,” says Katie LeVan, Director of Education at The Malvern School of Warrington, which has been accredited since 2015. “This achievement is the direct result of our amazing teachers and team, who bring their best every day for our children and each other. They are at the core of what makes our school such a truly special place with a fun and nurturing learning environment, top quality programming, a supportive community and rewarding career opportunities.” In the 30 years since NAEYC Accreditation was established, it has become a widely recognized sign of high-quality early childhood education. According to the association, “Research shows a direct correlation between high-quality early learning and children’s positive long-term outcomes in life, including increased educational attainment, healthier lifestyles, and more successful careers.” Earning accreditation is a rigorous process that includes an extensive self-study process, followed by an on-site visit by NAEYC Assessors to ensure the program meets each of the 10 research-based program standards and hundreds of corresponding individual criteria. These standards include relationships; curriculum; teaching; assessment of child progress; health; staff competencies, preparation and support; families; community relationships; physical environment; and leadership and management. Additionally, NAEYC-Accredited programs are always prepared for unannounced quality-assurance visits during their accreditation term, which lasts for five years. “NAEYC-Accredited programs have committed to a process that takes time, energy and dedication to complete,” states Alissa Mwenelupembe, NAEYC’s Senior Director, Early Learning Program Accreditation. “The Malvern School of Warrington has demonstrated their commitment to young children and their families.” The Malvern School of Warrington is currently looking for outstanding lead, assistant and seasonal teachers to join its team.
