Leading preschool and child care center earns national NAEYC Accreditation for the fourth time Known for its dedication to providing top-quality early childhood education, The Malvern School of Royersford has once again earned accreditation from the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC), the world’s largest organization working on behalf of young children. Less than 10 percent of all child care centers, preschools and kindergartens nationally achieve this recognition, which has become a widely recognized sign of high-quality early childhood education. The Malvern School of Royersford has been NAEYC Accredited since 2006 and was previously re-accredited in 2011 and 2016. “NAEYC-Accredited programs have committed to a process that takes time, energy and dedication to complete,” states Alissa Mwenelupembe, NAEYC’s Senior Director of Early Learning Program Accreditation. “The Malvern School of Royersford has demonstrated their commitment to young children and their families.” The rigorous accreditation process included a thorough evaluation of hundreds of criteria that align with NAEYC’s 10 research-based program standards: relationships; curriculum; teaching; assessment of child progress; health; staff competencies, preparation and support; families; community relationships; physical environment; and leadership and management. The Malvern School of Royersford earned high scores in each of these areas. Additionally, the school’s infant, toddler and preschool classrooms received assessment scores between 99 and 100 percent. “For more than 20 years, The Malvern School of Royersford has been local families’ early learning center of choice and has consistently been recognized as one of the top early childhood education programs in the country,” says Christle Seal, Director of Educational Programs at The Malvern School. “That’s because our Directors and teachers are personally devoted to ensuring young friends and their families experience exceptional quality every day – in every way. Earning NAEYC Accreditation for the fourth time is proof of exactly that. Congratulations to all on this hard-earned recognition!” “Our entire team should be very proud of this honor, which showcases our culture of excellence,” adds Alexis Lewis, Executive Director at The Malvern School of Royersford. “Every day, we hold ourselves – and one another – to extremely high standards as we help young children learn, grow and, of course, feel loved. It’s one of many things that sets us apart for families as well as for teachers who are searching for truly rewarding career opportunities.” The Malvern School of Royersford is currently looking for outstanding teachers to join its team.
