Montgomery County preschool for children ages 6 weeks to 8 years earns NAEYC accreditation – an honor received by less than 10 percent of programs in the nation Horsham, PA – April 2, 2019 – The Malvern School of Horsham recently earned top recognition among all early childhood education programs in the U.S., receiving accreditation from the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC). The nation’s largest early childhood accrediting organization recognizes less than 10 percent of all child care centers, preschools, and kindergartens in the country. Achieving this recognition has become a widely recognized sign of high-quality early childhood education. “NAEYC Accreditation helps families recognize quality early learning programs and feel comfortable knowing that their children are receiving a high-quality, research-based education that will prepare them for future success,” stated the association. The Malvern School of Horsham received outstanding marks for each of NAEYC’s 10 research-based standards, earning scores of greater than 100 percent in more than half of the categories. NAEYC’s criteria include relationships with children, curriculum, teaching approaches, child assessment, nutrition and health, staff qualifications, relationships with children’s families, community relations, physical environment, and program leadership and management. Additionally, each classroom individually received an average score of 95 percent.
