NAEYC Recognizes The Malvern School of Voorhees With National Accreditation

Leading child care and preschool program ranks among top in the nation

The Malvern School of Voorhees is proud to announce it has again earned national accreditation from the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC), which is a widely recognized sign of high-quality early childhood education. NAEYC is the world’s largest organization working on behalf of young children.

“The Malvern School of Voorhees has been a top early learning destination in New Jersey for more than 20 years. This latest honor from NAEYC means we are also one of the top programs in the entire country!” says Kerry Alexander, Director of Education at The Malvern School of Voorhees. “This huge accomplishment was made possible by our incredible teachers and staff who are personally devoted to helping our students learn, grow and thrive.”

Less than 10 percent of all child care centers, preschools and kindergartens earn NAEYC Accreditation across the U.S.

“NAEYC-Accredited programs have committed to a process that takes time, energy and dedication to complete,” states Alissa Mwenelupembe, NAEYC’s Senior Director of Early Learning Program Accreditation. “The Malvern School of Voorhees has demonstrated their commitment to young children and their families.”

To earn NAEYC Accreditation, The Malvern School of Voorhees went through a rigorous evaluation and extensive self-study process. NAEYC Assessors also completed an on-site visit to ensure the program meets each of the 10 research-based program standards and hundreds of corresponding individual criteria. The Malvern School of Voorhees received high scores across each of these standards, which include: relationships; curriculum; teaching; assessment of child progress; health; staff competencies, preparation and support; families; community relationships; physical environment; and leadership and management.

Additionally, NAEYC-Accredited programs are always prepared for unannounced quality-assurance visits during their accreditation term, which lasts for five years.

The Malvern School of Voorhees is currently looking for outstanding teachers to join its team. For more information, visit malvernschool.com/careers.
