For Early Childhood Education

The Malvern School of Westtown

The Malvern School of Westtown is excited to be a part of the West Chester community! Our fun, high-quality early childhood education program provides the Westtown area’s families with innovative programming and high teaching standards. Our programs are customized for children ages 6 weeks to 8 years old and offer much more than traditional childcare or daycare options in the area. Our brand new school is conveniently located on the corner of East Pleasant Road and Wilmington Pike/202, diagonally across the street from Stetson Middle School and right down the street from Sarah Starkweather Elementary School. Spaces at our preschool in Westtown fill up quickly, so we urge families to call for more information.

Meet Our Directors

Lisa Delaney, Executive Director

Lisa Delaney is the Executive Director during our new school opening in Valley Forge, PA. Lisa joined The Malvern School team in 2022 with more than 30 years of experience in early childhood education. She started her career as a Kindergarten teacher in 1992 and grew her career in the classroom for 16 years prior to advancing into a Director leadership position in 2009. She has her B.S. in Education from West Chester University and holds a Director Credential.

One of Lisa’s proudest moments as an educator was achieving NAEYC Accreditation for a new preschool in 2008. The journey of receiving accreditation strengthened her team and helped shape their future success. Lisa says that the Malvern School Program is above all others because of the consistent curriculum of Monthly Themes, Authors and Artists, Values and Science Focus. She also likes that it focuses on developing the whole child starting at a young age.

During her free time, she enjoys reading, cooking and dance. She spends time with her family and likes to explore nature trails with her dog, Elsie. Lisa’s favorite children’s book is “Alexander and the Wind-Up Mouse” by Leo Lionni.

Natasha Dickinson, Director of Education

Natasha Dickinson is the Director of Education at The Malvern School of Westtown. Natasha joined The Malvern School team in 2022 with more than eight years of experience in early childhood education. She has a Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education from West Chester University. Prior to joining the team, she was a preschool and elementary school teacher.

One of Natasha’s proudest moments of her career was working hard—starting as an Aide and eventually promoted to Assistant Director. Natasha believes that The Malvern School Program is above all others because of the foundation that a teacher created the program that meets the needs of each child.

During her free time, she enjoys baking and cooking. As a child, Natasha always wanted to be a teacher. Fun Fact! She has six siblings! Her favorite children’s book is “Where the Wild Things Are” by Maurice Sendak.
