The Malvern School of Westtown

The Malvern School of Westtown is excited to join the West Chester community! Our fun, high-quality early childhood education program will provide the families of the Westtown area with innovative programming with high teaching standards. Our programs are customized for children ages 6 weeks to 8 years old and offer much more than traditional childcare or daycare options in the area. Our brand new school is conveniently located on the corner of East Pleasant Road and Wilmington Pike/202, diagonally across the street from Stetson Middle School and right down the street from Sarah Starkweather Elementary School. Spaces at our new preschool in Westtown fills up quickly, so we urge families to call for more information.

Meet Our Directors

Leslie Fuller, Senior Executive Director

Leslie Fuller is Acting Senior Executive Director at The Malvern School of Westtown. With 25 years of experience in early childhood education, Leslie has spent more than 17 of those years at The Malvern School. She holds a dual bachelor’s in Early Childhood Education and Elementary Education and is certified to teach through 6th grade in Pennsylvania and through 4th grade in Delaware.
Leslie’s proudest career moment is being named Executive Director of the Year three times while at our Glen Mills school location. Leslie is personally fond of The Malvern School program and all three of her children attended and graduated. She knows that the curriculum, the care, the safety measures that are provided are proven to be the best for the children in our care.

In her free time, she enjoys reading and spending time with her family. Growing up, her favorite book was “Are You My Mother.” Now, as a mother, her favorite book is “Love You Forever” by Robert Munsch.

Courtney Walsh, Executive Director

Courtney Walsh is the Executive Director at The Malvern School of Westtown. Courtney joined The Malvern School team in 2015 as an Associate Director and was promoted to Director of Education and finally promoted to Executive Director. Courtney has more than a decade of experience in early childhood education and has a Bachelor’s Degree from West Chester University and Master Degree in Early Childhood Education from Cabrini College. Prior to joining the team, she was an Infant Teacher and an Assistant Director at another childcare facility.

One of Courtney’s proudest moments of her career was earning her Master’s Degree and Pre-Kindergarten Certificate while working full time and pregnant. Courtney believes that The Malvern School Program is above all others because of the quality of teachers and how they can create their own lesson plans and customize the program for the children in the classroom.

During her free time, she enjoys spending time with her two daughters and three dogs outside, baking, and reading. As a child, she wanted to be a teacher or a nurse. Her favorite children’s book is “Dragons Love Tacos” by Adam Rubin.
