Meet Our Directors

Danielle Wunderlich, Executive Director

Danielle Wunderlich is the Executive Director of The Malvern School of Robbinsville. She joined The Malvern School family in 2018 with more than 19 years of experience in early childhood education. She has an Associate’s Degree in Education and a Bachelor’s in Organizational Management. Prior to joining us, she spent many years in the classroom as a teacher and progressed her career into management in leadership as a Program Coordinator, Assistant Director and Director.

One of Danielle’s proudest moments as an educator was receiving a Parent Partnership Award and when a colleague she mentored became a successful Director. She strongly believes in the power of mentoring and appreciates the high standards that The Malvern School sets forth for our teachers. Those high standards translate in the classroom and are evident in the success of educating the children in the program.

During her free time, Danielle enjoys spending time with her husband, their two children and their dog. Planning a trip to Disney? You may want to consult Danielle. She has been to Disney World and Disneyland 18 times! Needless to say, she is a really big fan of Disney. Her favorite children’s book is "The Day the Crayons Came Home" by Drew Daywalt.

LaChelle Thompson, Director of Education

LaChelle Thompson is the Director of Education at The Malvern School of Robbinsville. She joined the team in 2014 as the Older Toddler Teacher and the Health and Safety Coordinator. In 2017, she was promoted to Associate Director of the Jackson location and she quickly advanced to the Director of Education position in 2018. Prior to joining The Malvern School family, LaChelle was a Pre-Kindergarten Teacher at a small, private school in south Jersey. One of her proudest moments in her professional career was being promoted from Lead Teacher to Associate Director. LaChelle graduated from Montclair State University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Family and Child Studies and holds a Master’s Degree from Liberty University in Marriage and Family.

When it comes to The Malvern School program, LaChelle appreciates the emphasis on the developmentally appropriate practices which help children develop a well-rounded educational experience. She also especially enjoys the custom specialty rooms – Fascination Station and Discovery Room. She feels the rooms set The Malvern School apart from other programs and allows the children with the opportunity to engage in hands-on learning activities outside the classroom environment.

In LaChelle’s free time, she enjoys spending time with her husband, Rich, their Great Dane, Diesel, and their two Cats, Lyle and Lilly. She loves shopping, listening to music and spending time with her family in south Jersey. Her favorite children’s book is "Chicka Chicka Boom Boom" by Bill Martin Jr. and John Archambault.
