Meet Our Directors

Michelle Sklar, Executive Director

Michelle Sklar is the Executive Director of our newest location in Robbinsville, New Jersey. Michelle has more than 20 years of experience in early childhood education with 17 of those years in a director role. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Early Childhood Education from the University of South Florida and started her career as a teacher. One of Michelle’s proudest moment of her career was receiving the coveted accreditation from NAEYC.

Don’t be surprised if you see Michelle break out in song and dance because she is a huge Broadway fan; her favorite subject in school was Math and her favorite book is "The Kissing Hand" by Audrey Penn. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her family and watching her children play softball.

Marcia Landsman, Director of Education

Marcia Landsman is the Director of Education at The Malvern School of Robbinsville. She joined the new school shortly after it opened in 2017 and has more than 30 years of experience in early childhood education. She has taught various ages of young children from toddlers to kindergarten and served as an Executive Director of several programs including Head Start, Early Intervention and other preschools. She also has experience training other teachers as an adjunct instructor and serves as both a Validator and Mentor for the National Association of Educating Young Children (NAEYC). Marcia holds a Master’s degree (M.Ed.) in Early Childhood Education from Rivier University.

One of her proudest moments was leading the efforts of building a state-of-the-art nonprofit accredited early childhood center. Marcia finds The Malvern School’s commitment to NAEYC Accreditation and standards as a stand-out feature of the program.

In her free time, she enjoys traveling with her husband and spending time with her children and grandchildren. Here’s a fun fact about Marcia – she minored in Theater Arts and has some acting and directing experience. Her favorite children’s book is “Madeline” by Ludwig Bemelmans.
