The Malvern School’s preschool in Oaks is conveniently located off the Oaks exit of Highway 422 and just outside of Phoenixville. We have been serving our community since 2010, and our enrollment has consistently grown since we opened our doors! Our quality of early childhood education and child care is shown through the continuous recommendations of our families to their friends and neighbors. Our staff is passionate about educating children, and our innovative programs for children aged 6 weeks through 8 years old offer much more than traditional Oaks daycare options. Meet Our Directors

Amy Pomponio, Executive Director

Amy Pomponio is Executive Director at The Malvern School of Oaks. Amy joined The Malvern School team in 2020 with several years of experience working with children and families serving those with special needs. Previously, she held several executive roles within children’s behavioral healthcare, as well as being a school administrator serving kids in grades K-12. She has a bachelor’s degree from Lehigh University and a master’s from Villanova University with a major concentration in Education and Community Counseling.

One of Amy’s proudest moments throughout her career was one child who was struggling graduated from the program where she served as the Administrator. Months later his mother informed her of how well he was doing, and she couldn’t have been prouder of the excellent work her team did with him-it was truly a collective effort.

The Malvern School’s commitment to quality assurance through curriculum that is developmentally appropriate accreditation standards by National Association for the Education of Young Children really sets the Malvern School apart from other early childhood education programs.

In her free time, Amy enjoys traveling and exploring new places and culture. Fun Fact about Amy! She is huge Disney fan and enjoys watching all the classic movies with her family. Her favorite children’s book is “The Giving Tree” By Shel Silverstein.

Allison Presner, Director of Education

Allison Presner is the Director of Education at The Malvern School of Oaks. She joined the team in 2016 as an Associate Director and before that she was a second grade teacher, a kindergarten enrichment teacher and a summer day camp director. She holds a Bachelor’s degree from Gwynedd Mercy College. As an educator, Allison finds the most gratifying part of her job is to see a child accomplish a goal. The excitement on a child’s face makes every moment of the hard work worth it! She also enjoys working with her teachers to develop new and innovative curriculum, planning special days for the kids and family-focused events that provide children fun, educational experiences.

During her free time, Allison enjoys spending time with family and friends. She is also a former college basketball player. As a young child, Allison always wanted to be a teacher and her favorite subject in school was art. Her favorite children’s book is “A Bad Case of Stripes” by David Shannon.
