What Parents are saying:

My son has been attending the Malvern School since he was three months old starting in the infant room and is currently transitioning to the one year/two year old room… I could not be any happier with how smooth the transition went and how great all the teachers are at the Malvern school. My son is very happy there and I can tell he is very well cared for.

Meet Our Directors

Eva Howski, Executive Director

Eva Howski is Executive Director at The Malvern School of Lionville. Eva joined The Malvern School team in 2020 with many years of experience in the education field. Before joining the team, she spent more than two decades working in the public school and private school systems where she gained valuable experience in supervision and curriculum. She has a Master of Education in Administration from Bowling Green State University.

One of Eva’s proudest moments throughout her career was developing and implementing a childcare service, preschool, and summer camp for a Catholic School where the service was a great need in the community at the time.
Eva believes that The Malvern School’s Core Values sets us apart from other childcare facilities. The values are practiced and modeled each day by staff throughout the building making it a welcoming environment for everyone. She also values that the teachers have flexibility in their lesson planning to adjust to the needs of every student in their class.

In her free time, Eva enjoys spending time with her husband and two daughters – especially camping and watching the Cleveland Cavaliers! Eva is one of 8 children in her family and she currently has three dogs – two chihuahuas and a black lab. Her favorite children’s book is “Wonderful You” By Kate Gleeson.

Shannon Battista, Director of Education

Shannon Battista has been Director of Education at The Malvern School of Lionville since 2013. She began her career in Early Childhood Education as a teenager, working after school at a local preschool. She received her degree in Early Childhood and Elementary Education from Neumann College in 2002. During and following her college years, Shannon worked her way up in another preschool from assistant teacher to assistant director. The dedication to providing the best experience for young children is one of the things Shannon enjoys most about working for The Malvern School. The amazing team of teachers with whom she works makes her job fun! Having three children of her own, Shannon spends much of her time with children and is thankful for every moment. She enjoys live music, trivia and the outdoors in her downtime.
