For Early Childhood Education

The Malvern School of Glen Mills

Our preschool is located in picturesque Glen Mills, and we share our campus with Malvern Day Camp on 15 beautiful acres. We have been serving Glen Mills and the surrounding area since 1999. We are proud to have been the first Malvern School to receive NAEYC Accreditation, which ensures the highest quality education and care are provided for your young child. We pride ourselves on implementing a curriculum that is designed to meet your child’s individual needs as well as meeting both NAEYC Best Practices and Pennsylvania Early Learning Standards. Many of our highly qualified teachers and assistant teachers have been with us for more than five years. Our early childhood education programs for children ages 6 weeks through 8 years old offer much more than traditional Glen Mills daycare and childcare options. We look forward to helping your child prepare for the future, and we encourage you to schedule a tour of our Glen Mills preschool!

What Parents are saying:

I have three young children who all attend and love arriving at school each morning… Each day, I get a personalized email report from the teachers that my husband and I use to have discussions at dinner and learn more about their days… The attention and love that they receive each day does not go unnoticed. We love the directors and staff!

Meet Our Directors

Elizabeth Jones, Director of Education

Elizabeth Jones is the Director of Education at The Malvern School of Glen Mills. Elizabeth holds a Bachelor’s in Elementary Education with a minor in Special Education and a master’s degree in Elementary Education from Cabrini College. She has more than 30 years of experience in early childhood education with a short break to raise her twin girls, Jessica and Mackenzie, who are about to graduate college.

Prior to joining The Malvern School, Elizabeth started her career in the classroom as a Pre-Kindergarten Teacher and spent the last six years as an Assistant Director at a center in the area. Elizabeth’s proudest moment of her professional career was becoming a part of The Malvern School team. She finds The Malvern School’s Core Values to have a deep meaning in her heart, which made her certain it was the right place for her to continue her education career.

During her free time, she enjoys traveling and visited Japan a few years ago! Elizabeth’s favorite children’s book is “The Giving Tree” by Shel Silverstein.

Kristyn Bennett, Associate Director

Kristyn Bennett is the Associate Director at The Malvern School of Glen Mills. Kristyn holds a bachelor’s degree in Organizational Leadership from Penn State University and a Master’s in Human Resource Management/Diversity, Equity and Inclusion from Claremont Lincoln University in California. Kristyn is also pursuing an Advanced Certification in Educational Workforce Development from Columbia’s Teacher’s College in NYC. She has more than six years of experience in early childhood education and program development in elementary education. Prior to joining the team, she worked as an administrator and a director of programs for charter schools and as an educator/coordinator at a non-profit early childhood education organization in Philadelphia.

Kristyn’s proudest moment of her professional career was discovering her true calling in the early childhood education field. Once she became an educator, she was able to have a clear focus and discover her influence on future generations. In addition to the commitment to diversity and equity, she is inspired by the dedication of The Malvern School to uplift and empower students to embrace their fullest potential. She believes that by offering students a comprehensive and developmentally appropriate curriculum and creating age-appropriate classrooms in six months increments, The Malvern School revolutionized the way educators teach and the way students are able to learn while exploring an optimal environment.

During her free time, she enjoys traveling, painting and art. She also loves adventures with her tiny Lhasa Apso dog, Poppy. Fun fact about Kristyn: She grew up in Los Angeles and moved to the east coast to attend Penn State. Kristyn’s favorite children’s book is “Room on the Broom” by Julia Donaldson.
