For Early Childhood Education

The Malvern School of Glen Mills

Our preschool is located in picturesque Glen Mills, and we share our campus with Malvern Day Camp on 15 beautiful acres. We have been serving Glen Mills and the surrounding area since 1999. We are proud to have been the first Malvern School to receive NAEYC Accreditation, which ensures the highest quality education and care are provided for your young child. We pride ourselves on implementing a curriculum that is designed to meet your child’s individual needs as well as meeting both NAEYC Best Practices and Pennsylvania Early Learning Standards. Many of our highly qualified teachers and assistant teachers have been with us for more than five years. Our early childhood education programs for children ages 6 weeks through 8 years old offer much more than traditional Glen Mills daycare and childcare options. We look forward to helping your child prepare for the future, and we encourage you to schedule a tour of our Glen Mills preschool!

What Parents are saying:

I have three young children who all attend and love arriving at school each morning… Each day, I get a personalized email report from the teachers that my husband and I use to have discussions at dinner and learn more about their days… The attention and love that they receive each day does not go unnoticed. We love the directors and staff!

Meet Our Directors

Wendy Lingle, Executive Director

Wendy Lingle is the Executive Director of The Malvern School of Glen Mills and Managing Director of Malvern Day Camp. Wendy has a strong history with The Malvern School and is rejoining us after spending five years at a local ESF Camp. During her 12 years while at The Malvern School, Wendy excelled in many different roles including Get Set teacher, Curriculum Coordinator, Director of Education, and Executive Director. Her steady growth is a proof of her dedication to the program and her ability to lead by example. Wendy’s Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education from Rowan University helped to jumpstart her successful career in Early Childhood Education.

Upon graduating, Wendy spent time as a toddler teacher in New Jersey, as well as working for an educational product based retailer. What drew her to The Malvern School was the individualized curriculum that can be adapted to the developmental levels and interests of a class. She also loves how the teachers are able to be creative within that framework to make each lesson exciting for their students. Her proudest moment of her career so far is helping The Malvern School of Lionville achieve NAEYC accreditation.

During her free time, Wendy enjoys traveling, attending her children’s sports games, and discovering local events. Fun fact! Wendy’s children attended The Malvern School—both are now in middle and high school and still recall Miss Jen in Kindergarten as one of their best teachers! Her favorite children’s book is a tie between Harry Potter and “Don’t Let the Pigeon Drive the Bus”!

Robyn Cook, Acting Director of Education

Robyn Cook is Acting Director of Education at The Malvern School of Glen Mills. With 20 years experience and 16 of those years at The Malvern School, she is a true model for The Malvern Way. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Early Childhood Education and Elementary Education.

With many years of experience, Robyne has enjoyed guiding and training many teachers at The Malvern School and continues to encourage them to grow and become better educators. She is also very proud of her three children and their growth from infancy through Kindergarten at The Malvern School. The experience of their early childhood education at the school is a true testament to the quality of the program at The Malvern School.

In her free time, Robyne enjoys playing volleyball and attending her children’s sporting events.

Kira Brown, Assistant Director

Kira Brown, Assistant Director at The Malvern School of Glen Mills joined the team in 2018 with over 10 years of early childhood education experience. Prior to The Malvern School, Kira held multiple positions in the field from Pre-K teacher to Health and Safety Coordinator as well as gaining supervisor experience in similar early childhood education programs. Kira holds both a Bachelor’s degree in English and Communications and a Master’s degree in Education.

Kira’s proudest moment of her professional career was receiving her current position as Assistant Director at The Malvern School. She finds it to be the most fulfilling career choice she could make. Kira is passionate about The Malvern School’s curriculum because the teachers not only write their own lesson plans but are the best of the best! She believes this truly sets The Malvern School apart from other programs.

In her free time, Kira enjoys spending time with her family and reading (especially Marvel comics) whenever she gets the chance. In fact, she has seen every Marvel movie! Before she set her sights on early childhood education, Kira wanted to be a talent representative for a record label- now she represents the talent at The Malvern School! Her favorite children’s book is “Chicka Chicka Boom Boom!” by Bill Martin Jr. and John Archambaul.
