Our Friends’ 5 Favorite Things About Summer Camp
The sun is shining, the days are long, the grass is green, and life is good! I think we can all agree everything is just a little bit better in the summer, and that includes Summer Camp at The Malvern School! Taking a break from their more vigorous academic schedule during the school year, our friends who attend Summer Camp at The Malvern School look forward to a full day of summer activities and nonstop fun! But don’t just take our word for it, we asked our campers what their favorite things about Summer Camp were, and needless to say, it was hard to choose just a few!
- Field Trips
- Venturing outside of school is something older campers look forward to every week. Whether it be a trip to the nature center, indoor playground, or a local sports game, experiencing these new places with their counselors and friends make each trip one to remember!
- Riding the bus
- After younger campers see the “big” kids and older campers ride the bus for quite some time, campers feel super special when it’s finally time to ride the big yellow school bus. Plus, the journey is always half the fun!
- Sprinkler Days/Swimming
- Whether it be sprinkler days for the younger campers or swimming for the older kids, water play days are a fan favorite all summer long! The best part? Water play days are twice a week for 2x the fun!
- Special Visitors
- Another treat that Summer Camp brings to The Malvern School are weekly visitors. Themed magic shows, petting zoos, musical acts, science experiments, puppet shows, and more- no matter who comes through the door everyone knows there will be a fun surprise in store!
- Camp Gear
- Getting Summer Camp gear is another unique highlight to the summer. Wearing a special t-shirt and backpack gets campers excited and ready to embrace whatever adventure is ahead!
