Reading to your young child is essential for their development. At The Malvern School we have a strong commitment to literacy through several programs for children of all ages. In addition to our author of the month and a focus on monthly themes, we also host several Mrs. Bush�s Story Times throughout the year. Here are just a few of our favorite books that belong in your young child�s library!� books
  1. Where the Wild Things Are by Maurice Sendak - This award-winning classic children�s book is loved by both children and adults alike. The illustrations carry the reader through the wonderful imaginary world of Max and the �Wild Things�.
  2. The Giving Tree by Shel Silverstein � This picture book is a tender story of a relationship between a boy and a tree. The beautifully written and illustrated story explores the relationship between giving and taking.
  3. The Polar Express by Chris Van Allsburg - Our Author of the Month for December is Chris Van Allsburg.
