March is Literacy Month at Warrington

March is Literacy Month. In honor of Literacy Month, The Malvern School of Warrington will be celebrating Mrs. Bush’s Story Time every Monday of the month. We will kick off this month with The Story of Ferdinand by Munro Leaf. All of the activities we will be participating in will be linked with STEAM. This acronym stands for: Science, Technology, Engineering, Art and Math. For this story, we will be dying carnations using food coloring and water. Then, we will listen to Mrs. Bush read us the story on the CD. As a class, we will design and assemble our very own hat rack using various materials. For art, we will create our very own Sombrero using a variety of materials and finally, we will taste test “queso”, guacamole and salsa then graph the results. We will also have a special guest reader and all parents are welcomed to join in our fun filled activities!
