It’s Lemonade Season!

Directors and students at The Malvern School of Oaks hosted a bake sale in support of Alex’s Lemonade Stand Foundation

Pucker up because it’s Lemonade Season! The Malvern School is a strong supporter of Alex’s Lemonade Stand Foundation for 10 years. Each year, our schools raise awareness and money on behalf of the organization through various events, raffles, partnerships and our yearly Lemonade Stand Day. To date, we have raised more than $500,000 to fight pediatric cancer.

Alex’s Lemonade Stand Foundation (ALSF) is a national childhood cancer foundation dedicated to raising funds for research into new treatments and cures for all children battling cancer. ALSF founder, Alexandra “Alex” Scott held her first front yard lemonade stand when she was just four years old and by time of her death in 2004, she raised $1 million and inspired a legacy of hope for childhood cancer. Since then, the Foundation that bears her name started an evolution to raise money to help find a cure. To date, the national movement of thousands of volunteers has raised more than $140 million toward fulfilling Alex’s dream.

We are happy to announce to our Malvern School families and friends that our goal for 2017 is to raise $110,000 to commensurate our 10th year of fundraising for Alex’s. The Malvern School’s fundraising season is from April through July with all 25 locations participating in various events and sponsorships that will help us reach our goal.

If you would like to donate on behalf of The Malvern School or your child’s specific school, please visit our Virtual Lemonade Stand here or join us on Friday, June 9 at any of our locations for a cool glass of lemonade!
