Recognizing that lessons in science, technology and engineering are increasingly important for young children, STREAM learning encompassing science, technology, reading, engineering, art and math is integrated into our curriculum at The Malvern School in several ways. Beyond play-based lessons, experiments and activities that are part of our everyday curriculum, we also host STREAM Fun Days throughout the year. On this day, our teachers plan extra special activities that integrate and celebrate these disciplines in fun, out-of-the-box ways. What does that look like, exactly? Take a peek at some of our most recent STREAM Fun Day highlights from our schools in Robbinsville, Horsham and Westtown! [caption id="attachment_11976" align="aligncenter" width="650"] The Malvern School of Robbinsville welcomed a special visitor from Code Ninjas, an organization that helps kids learn to code in a fun, safe and inspiring learning environment. Our friends had a blast coding, building circuits and more![/caption]   [caption id="attachment_11979" align="aligncenter" width="650"] STREAM Fun Day was centered around an outer space theme at The Malvern School of Westtown. Our friends learned about physics from stomp rockets, navigated the solar system with games, explored the phases of the moon and made out-of-this-world art projects![/caption] [caption id="attachment_11982" align="aligncenter" width="650"] In Horsham, our friends participated in seasonal STREAM activities based on the book Snowballs by Lois Ehlert. We made our own snow, created snowmen and, of course, had a snowball fight![/caption]   Want to see what else were learning about in school?
