Blossoming Young Environmentalists

Summer camp at The Malvern School is off to an awesome start as we get out into nature and explore our Week 1/2 theme, Young Environmentalists! Our campers have been so excited to delve deeper into the living world around us – visiting parks and nature centers, experimenting with natural materials for art and science projects, playing with visitors from the farm and more!

These are all great ways to learn important lessons about appreciating, respecting and caring for our planet and all its living things. As you can see from the snapshots below, our young environmentalists are thriving!

The Malvern School of Horsham
Our campers took field trips to Churchville Nature Center and Peace Valley Nature Center. Back at school, they made art using flowers and mud, participated in a nature scavenger hunt, planted seeds and experimented with sand.

The Malvern School of Richboro
Our senior campers had a blast with their climbing adventure at Tree Trails!

The Malvern School of Voorhees
Special four-legged guests from Farm Friends came for a visit, giving our campers the opportunity to see, touch and play with the animals.

The Malvern School of Collegeville
Our campers ventured out to the park to practice yoga, play on the playground and get their bodies moving in the beautiful summer weather. The fun continued at school with outdoor activities, a scientific examination of leaves and pinecones and nature-based art!

The Malvern School of Washington Township
Our friends went blueberry picking at Blueberry Bills Farm!

The Malvern School of Oaks
Our campers took a field trip to Upper Schuylkill Valley Wildlife Center, found ladybugs, met turtles and explored sensory bins.

Stay tuned for additional blogs highlighting each of our bi-weekly summer camp themes, and be sure to follow us on social media for daily updates from across our schools!
