A Fun February at The Malvern School of Voorhees!

February was full of fun and learning at TMS Voorhees! We had a visit from Holdbrook Dental to kick off Dental Health Month and all of the children had fun “brushing” the teeth of Nemo the puppet. The dentist taught the children the proper way to brush and what foods helped keep their teeth shiny and healthy. Each class also made a dental health poster as part of a contest we had and the winners were First Step and Pre-Kindergarten 2! Each class was awarded special art supplies to use in their classroom art center.

Math Fun Day was also a big hit this month! Each classroom highlighted a different math skill with a project, story and activity. The children traveled room to room to complete the special activities with their friends.

February is also when the Discovery Room Dramatic Play Center becomes a post office. The dramatic play center includes a real US postal service mail bag, mail delivery crates, stamps and a child made mailbox so that the children can create and deliver special mail throughout the month of February.
