Leading early childhood education provider named a finalist for Community Involvement Program of the Year Since The Malvern School’s founding nearly 25 years ago, the organization has made it a priority to support the local community and teach young children about the importance of giving back through hands-on engagement with philanthropic activities. In recognition of these efforts, The Malvern School has been named a finalist for Community Involvement Program of the Year in the 19 th annual Stevie Awards for Women in Business and will ultimately be a Gold, Silver or Bronze Stevie Award winner in the program. The Stevie Awards for Women in Business honor women executives, entrepreneurs, employees and the companies they run – worldwide. The Stevie Awards have been hailed as the world’s premier business awards. “Giving back is a responsibility that we fully embrace at The Malvern School. It’s a value shared throughout our extended Malvern School family that brings together young children, teachers, Directors, staff, parents, families and partners year after year to help those in need,” says Kristen M. Waterfield, Founder and CEO of The Malvern School. The Malvern School has been a proud supporter of Alex’s Lemonade Stand Foundation (ALSF) since 2008 and has raised more than $1 million for the fight against childhood cancer through activities like lemonade stands, art auctions, raffles, carnivals and school-wide events that complement curriculum focused on compassion, empathy and philanthropy. In 2022, ALSF awarded The Malvern School its highly coveted Alex Scott Crystal Cup Award in recognition of “The Malvern School’s belief that children have the power to make a difference and outstanding commitment to continuing ALSF’s mission.” The Malvern School also empowers its Directors and teachers to identify local organizations that are important to their communities and rally support for their specific needs. “In its 19th year, the Stevie Awards for Women in Business received a remarkable collection of outstanding nominations,” said Maggie Miller, president of the Stevie Awards. “We’re looking forward to recognizing the Stevie Award winners in Las Vegas in November.” Finalists were determined by the average scores of more than 200 business professionals around the world, working on seven juries. Their scores will also determine the Gold, Silver and Bronze Stevie Award placements that will be revealed at the 19 th annual awards dinner and presentations in Las Vegas.
