The Malvern School® of Montgomeryville Earns National NAEYC Accreditation

Program for children ages 6 weeks to 8 years recognized among the top in the nation

North Wales, PA – August 28, 2018 – As the school year approaches, The Malvern School of Montgomeryville is welcoming students and their families with the news that it has earned accreditation from the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC) – a recognition achieved by less than 10 percent of early childhood education centers in the country. NAEYC is the world’s largest organization working on behalf of young children and the nation’s largest early childhood accrediting organization.

“NAEYC-Accredited programs bring our definitions of excellence for early childhood education to life each day,” said Kristen Johnson, senior director of Early Learning Program Accreditation at NAEYC. “Earning NAEYC Accreditation makes The Malvern School of Montgomeryville an exemplar of good practice for families and the entire community.”

After undergoing a rigorous assessment process, The Malvern School of Montgomeryville received high scores for each of NAEYC’s 10 research-based standards – and met hundreds of corresponding individual criteria – focused on: relationships with children, curriculum, teaching approaches, child assessment, nutrition and health, staff qualifications, relationships with children’s families, community relations, physical environment, and program leadership and management. The school received scores of greater than 100 percent in more than half of those categories.

“Earning these high scores and this mark of quality from NAEYC demonstrates The Malvern School’s commitment to going above and beyond – providing exceptional early childhood education experiences and abiding by the highest professional standards,” said Christle Seal, Director of Educational Programs at The Malvern School. “It’s all about the children, and this distinction represents the tireless work of our directors, teachers and staff to that end each and every day.”

Rebecca Fiss, Director of Education and Nicole Dettinger, Executive Director of The Malvern School of Montgomeryville

In the 30 years since NAEYC Accreditation was established, it has become a widely recognized sign of high-quality early childhood education.

“Congratulations to our team in Montgomeryville for this well-deserved honor, and thank you to all of the families who allow us to share our days teaching and loving their precious children,” she added.

Fall enrollment is currently open at The Malvern School of Montgomeryville, conveniently located in the Gateway Shopping Center at the intersection of route 202 and 63 (1258 Welsh Road, North Wales).
