The Week of The Young Child is an annual celebration sponsored by the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC). The purpose of the Week of The Young child is to focus public attention on the needs of young children and their families and to recognize the early childhood programs and services that meet their needs.

The theme for the 2015 Week of The Young Child is “Celebrating our Youngest Learners!” The focus is on early childhood teachers who are at the heart of quality early learning and emphasizes the importance of foundational learning in the early childhood years.

Each day will have a separate focus to align with the national themes: Music Monday, Taco Tuesday, Work Together Wednesday, Artsy Thursday and Family Friday. In addition, all locations will host a special Camp Preview Day on Wednesday April 15 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. to introduce our “Sun-Sational Summer” plans.
