The Malvern School of West Norriton

The Malvern School’s preschool in West Norriton is conveniently located on Trooper Road between Ridge and Germantown Pike, and we have been a part of the community since 2003. Our school is proud of receiving both a Families First award for customer service and a Best Place to Work Award for staff tenure and satisfaction. The Malvern School of West Norriton is staffed with the highest qualified head teachers and assistant teachers, and our innovative programs offer much more than traditional Norristown daycare options. We enjoy helping the children grow and learn; from our infant room to the Pre-K program, we are helping them get ready for elementary school by instilling a love of learning! We look forward to helping your child prepare for the future, and we encourage you to schedule a tour of our West Norriton preschool!

What Parents are saying:

It is wonderful to know that [my daughters] spend their days with teachers that they love while getting an exceptional early childhood education. They can’t wait to go to school in the mornings and come home happy!

Meet Our Directors

Christina Wakerman, Director of Education

Christina Wakerman is the Director of Education at The Malvern School of West Norriton. She joined the team in 2016 and has more than 20 years of experience in early childhood education. Christina previously worked as a Kindergarten teacher, director and a curriculum specialist. She holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Early Childhood Education from West Chester University and a Masters in Curriculum and Instruction from the University of Scranton. As an educator, one of Christina’s proudest moments was helping write a grant proposal for Pre-K Counts, getting the grant approved by The PA Department of Education and implementing the program in two schools. She loves that The Malvern School implements current educational methods, trends and developmentally best practices at each school.

During her free time, Christina enjoys spending time with her husband and four daughters. She is an avid reader and loves to visit the beach. Growing up she always wanted to be a teacher and her favorite subject in school was spelling. Her favorite children’s book is “The Giving Tree” by Shel Silverstein.
