The Malvern School® of Newtown Square Recieves National Accreditation for a Third Time
Delaware County preschool for children ages 6 weeks to 8 years again earns NAEYC accreditation, achieved by less than 10 percent of programs nationwide
Newtown Square PA –An honor received by less than 10 percent of early childhood education programs in the country, the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC) has recognized The Malvern School of Newtown Square with NAEYC Accreditation for a third time. NAEYC is the world’s largest organization working on behalf of young children.

According to the association, “Research shows a direct correlation between high-quality early learning and children’s positive long-term outcomes in life, including increased educational attainment, healthier lifestyles, and more successful careers.”
Earning NAEYC Accreditation entails a rigorous assessment and observation process focused on 10 program standards and hundreds of corresponding individual criteria. These 10 standards include:
- Relationships with children
- Curriculum
- Teaching approaches
- Child assessment
- Nutrition and health
- Staff qualifications
- Relationships with children’s families
- Community relations
- Physical environment
- Program leadership and management
The Malvern School of Newtown Square received high scores in each of these areas, including scores of greater than 100 percent for six program standards.
