Alex’s Day: Celebrating Our Commitment to Fighting Childhood Cancer

At The Malvern School, we know everyone, especially young children, have the power to make a difference in our world. That’s the fundamental belief behind our support of Alex’s Lemonade Stand Foundation (ALSF) and the fight against childhood cancer. It’s also what fuels ongoing lessons in our classrooms about the importance of giving back – and what has driven our Malvern School community to raise nearly $1 million for ALSF over the past 12+ years (a milestone we’re hoping to achieve this fundraising season!).

To celebrate our commitment to ALSF, we hosted Alex’s Day on June 11. The day was filled with fun, engaging activities that tell the story of the amazing ALSF founder Alexandra “Alex” Scott, as well as opportunities for our communities to support the cause.

Each school did an incredible job of making Alex’s Day their own with creative lessons, activities and fundraisers. Check out the fun in Freehold, Royersford, Marlton and Robbinsville below!

P.S. There’s still time to help us meet our $1 million fundraising goal! Visit our Virtual Lemonade Stand to make a donation in your child’s name – and feel free to share with your families and friends!

In Freehold, our friends worked together to make homemade lemonade, hosted indoor lemonade stands and explored all things lemon!

Our #LemonadeStandSquad was on duty at The Malvern School of Royersford, sporting homemade masks that one of our teachers made for all of our staff, while friends were busy with lemon art and lemon/lemonade tasting.

Lemon activities for everyone! Our friends in Marlton participated in all types of lemon art and math activities and read “Alex and the Amazing Lemonade Stand,” the real story of ALSF founder Alex Scott.

The Malvern School of Robbinsville hosted a “flocking” fundraiser! Families arranged fun flamingo flockings – and flocking removal – around town to raise funds for ALSF.
