A Strong Sense of Community Sets The Malvern School Apart

Spotlight on Abby Jett

  • Role: Director of Education
  • Location: The Malvern School of West Norriton
  • Malvern School Employee Since: 2021

Being part of a community is powerful in many ways. It enables you to bond with others, develop meaningful relationships, grow in a supportive environment and contribute to something bigger than yourself. Experiencing – and helping to build – a strong sense of community is one of the things Ms. Abby loves most about The Malvern School.

What does “community” mean at The Malvern School?

AJ: I love the community we have been able to create within our schools. Our Directors always make sure our teachers and staff feel supported and that they have the tools to be the best they can be. I have never met a group of professionals that support each other in every endeavor the way they do here.

The support from parents and families is also incredible, whether it’s working together when children transition between classrooms or reinforcing activities at home. All of this makes The Malvern School a place where children truly foster a love of learning and a love for one another.

How is The Malvern School involved in the community outside of school?

AJ: At The Malvern School, we love giving back! Being part of our fundraising efforts for Alex’s Lemonade Stand Foundation in particular has been such a rewarding experience. It’s so much fun to see the creative ideas and fun times being held for such an amazing cause. I have truly loved every second of being part of The Malvern School community!

What else sets The Malvern School apart?

AJ: As a team, we’re always looking to better ourselves so we can continue providing the best early childhood education experience. It’s so enjoyable to see the love our teachers have for their students, and the love our students have for their teachers. Every day we’re greeted with warm smiles and big hugs, and it makes it feel like coming to school isn’t even work!
