Child care and early learning leader in Phoenixville is among the top early childhood education programs in the U.S.
In recognition of its high-quality early learning program, The Malvern School of Oaks, located at 1023 Egypt Road in Phoenixville, has earned its third accreditation from the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC), the world’s largest organization working on behalf of young children. This honor continues the school’s tenure as one of the top programs in the nation. Less than 10 percent of all child care centers, preschools and kindergartens in the U.S. earn this distinguished mark of quality. According to the association, “NAEYC Accreditation helps families recognize quality early learning programs and feel comfortable knowing that their children are receiving a high-quality, research-based education that will prepare them for future success.” The Malvern School of Oaks has been accredited by NAEYC since 2014. “We hold ourselves to the highest standards so we can deliver the best child care and early learning experiences for young children and their families,” says Allison Presner, Director of Education at The Malvern School of Oaks. “Early childhood is such an important stage that can set kids up for success as they grow. Our exceptional teachers do just that as they help each of our students reach their highest potential while playing and having fun! This recognition is proof of our team’s passion and hard work every day.” To earn NAEYC Accreditation, The Malvern School of Oaks went through an extensive self-study process, followed by an on-site visit by NAEYC Assessors who evaluated hundreds of criteria pertaining to NAEYC’s research-based program standards. These standards include relationships; curriculum; teaching; assessment of child progress; health; staff competencies, preparation and support; families; community relationships; physical environment; and leadership and management. “NAEYC-Accredited programs have committed to a process that takes time, energy and dedication to complete,” states Alissa Mwenelupembe, NAEYC’s Senior Director of Early Learning Program Accreditation. “The Malvern School of Oaks has demonstrated their commitment to young children and their families.” NAEYC-Accredited programs are always prepared for unannounced quality-assurance visits during their accreditation term, which lasts for five years. The Malvern School of Oaks is currently looking for qualified teachers to join its team. For more information, visit malvernschool.com/careers.
