What is the proudest moment of your time at The Malvern School?
My proudest moment of my time at The Malvern School was being awarded Director of Education of the Year in 2018! It was such an exciting moment to be honored in that way. I love my job and take so much pride in what I do so I was really proud to be recognized.
What do you like most about our program or what do you think sets us apart?
There is so much that sets us apart from other schools– we truly are the best! One of the main factors is our teachers; they are professionals in the field with the qualifications to lead a strong program. Another aspect of our program that I love is our ability to utilize our specialty rooms. The Fascination Station and Discovery Room are valuable for so many reasons! They allow our teachers to work with small groups and give them the opportunity to customize their lessons for varying abilities. They also provide a new space for the children to play and allows them to interact with other children and teachers, making transitions to the next class much easier.
What do you enjoy in your free time?
Spending time with my family is what I enjoy most! Being active and outdoors with my two children, Ava and Crew, is my favorite way to spend my time.
What is your favorite children’s book?
My favorite children’s book is Love You Forever by Robert Munsch.
