Cate Dodge is the Executive Director at The Malvern School of Horsham. Starting her career in the classroom, Cate has worked in early childhood education since 2004 as the lead teacher in several different classrooms and most recently as our Director of Education at our Upper Gwynedd location. She was promoted to Executive Director in 2024. She has a Bachelor’s Degree in Human Development and Family Studies from Penn State University and a Master’s in Education from Cabrini College. She is also a PA-certified teacher for ages Pre-K through 3rd Grade.
Some of her proudest moments in her career came when she was a Kindergarten teacher. Watching a young child celebrate an achievement each year during graduation is a nice reminder why she pursued a career in early childhood education. It’s those moments that show the positive impact that teachers have on young children. When asked about what she likes most about The Malvern School program – she loves the creative freedom that teachers have to design their own curriculum based on the individual children in each classroom. She enjoys the monthly curriculum themes highlighting the authors and artist of the month and likes how engaged the children are during each activity.
During her free time, Cate enjoys spending time with her family, reading and spending time with friends. Looking to test Cate’s geography knowledge? The next time you see her, ask her what the world capital of Bulgaria is – in fact, she can name all the world capitals. Cate’s favorite children’s book is "Corduroy" by Don Freeman.
Devin Clinefelter is the Director of Education at The Malvern School of Horsham. Devin holds a Bachelor’s in Elementary Education from Holy Family University and has more than 12 years of experience in early childhood education.
Prior to joining The Malvern School, Devin started her career in the classroom as a teacher assistant while in college. After graduation, she became a Lead Teacher and quickly moved her way up to management as Assistant Principal and then a promotion to Principal. She finds the support system at The Malvern School to be above all other programs in the area – from teacher resources to parent communications, it is a true partnership with the children at the forefront.
During her free time, she enjoys spending time with her family – her husband Alex and daughter Hazel and their two pit bulls – Cali and Nymeria. She enjoys being outdoors and going to the beach in the summer. Fun fact about Devin! She is known to be the ‘baby whisperer’ – she has a special gift that soothes babies! Her favorite children’s book is “Going on a Bear Hunt” by Michael Rosen.
