Now, more than ever, its fundamentally important that children experience diversity beginning at an early age. By opening their eyes and exploring different cultures and ways of life including customs, clothing, food, music and more they get a head start expanding their worldview and embracing the values of tolerance and inclusion that will serve them throughout their lives. Plus, its a lot of fun! This is exactly why last week we hosted our first school-wide Around the World Day. At each of our schools, our teachers put their own spin on transforming their classrooms and building out interactive lesson plans focused on different countries around the world. Then, students traveled from room to room, visiting each country and participating in hands-on activities that brought the experience to life. While we celebrate diversity in many ways throughout the year for example, with Multicultural Night for students and their families having a full school day dedicated to this immersive experience was extra exciting for our young travelers. Check out our friends trips around the world at our schools in Jackson, Glen Mills and Marlton below! [caption id="attachment_6000" align="aligncenter" width="561"]
Passports were at the ready at The Malvern School of Jackson! In Africa, students had a blast creating colorful tribal masks. Then they headed north to Italy, where they strung pasta necklaces in the colors of the countrys flag. From there, they popped over to France to learn about the famous Eiffel Tower with a coloring activity.[/caption] [caption id="attachment_6001" align="aligncenter" width="638"]
Our friends were busy In Glen Mills! They drew henna tattoos in India, created their own Chinese lanterns, made homemade crepes in France, painted using teabags in England and topped the day off by enjoying quesadillas and salsa in Mexico.[/caption] [caption id="attachment_6002" align="aligncenter" width="788"]
In Marlton, our Infants flew on an airplane to Brazil, our Preschoolers visited France complete with the Eiffel Tower and the Louvre and our Pre-K friends explored the tastes and sights of Germany.[/caption] Want to see more photos? Check out our
