Alivia Scandone, daughter of Kristen Waterfield and Joe Scandone, President and Co-Founders of The Malvern School, found a second home in The Malvern School growing up. Alivia is now 18 and recently graduated from Unionville High School, but many would argue it seems like just yesterday she was graduating from the Pre-Kindergarten classroom at The Malvern School of Glen Mills. Alivia started her journey at The Malvern School in the infant room, continuing through all classrooms where she fondly remembers the love of her teachers and how there was always something exciting going on. She states that the biggest takeaway from her experience at The Malvern School has been learning to care for others- and how to tie her shoes, of course! I couldnt be more thankful for all the amazing people that nurtured and taught me as I grew up and went to The Malvern School, states Alivia. I learned so many skills that I will take with me throughout my life and career, and I cant show enough gratitude for that. Alivia has since come a long way from learning how to tie her shoes, growing into a well-rounded student with academic distinction, leadership roles, and a spot on the schools premiere dance team. In her free time, Alivia enjoys singing, exercising, and playing the guitar and piano. She plans to attend Lynn University in Boca Raton, Florida in the fall where she hopes to study to be a video producer. We wish her all the best in her bright future, and hope she will always find a way back home to The Malvern School!
