When four-year-old Alex Scott, founder of
Alexs Lemonade Stand Foundation (ALSF), set up her first lemonade stand in her front yard in 2000, raising more than $2,000, she began to show the world how small acts of generosity can make a big impact. Of course, that was just the start. To date, ALSF has raised more than $150 million for childhood cancer with the help of communities and partners across the country making a difference one cup at a time. The Malvern School is proud to be a strong supporter of ALSF for more than 10 years, and, like Alex, we continually challenge ourselves and our community to find ways to have an even greater impact on the lives of children with cancer. As of 2017, we raised more than $640,000 to fight pediatric cancer, and in 2018, were setting out to raise $120,000 (thats $13,000 more than last years total) to coincide with our
20th anniversary.
Every year our Malvern School Lemonade Stand, held at each of our schools, is one of the major fundraising events that helps us reach our goal and were excited to announce we raised more than $35,000 at last Fridays lemonade stand alone! Thats 11 percent more than the $30,000 we raised in one day last year, setting a new Malvern School record!
Thank you to all of our directors, teachers, friends and families for your incredible support! We would also like to give a special congratulations to the top fundraising schools for this years Lemonade Stand Day: Glen Mills, Downingtown and Blue Bell. Way to go!
Whats next? Our Malvern School team will be volunteering on Thursday, June 14 from 3-4 pm for CBS 3 Alex Scott: A Stand for Hope Telethon. Tune into CBS 3 and The CW Philly and give us a call to pledge your support! You can also visit our
Virtual Lemonade Stand. Just select your school location as a Team Member and donate. Dont forget to leave a special message and upload a photo or video and invite friends, family, neighbors and co-workers to donate!
