Glen Mills, PA – The Malvern School of Glen Mills has earned its fourth accreditation from the
National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC) – the nation’s largest and most influential organization of early childhood educators. NAEYC accreditation has become widely recognized as a sign of top-quality early childhood education and is earned by less than 10 percent of programs in the country. “We’ve built such a strong reputation among parents in the local community because of our commitment to excellence. Continuing to earn the mark of quality from NAEYC is a testament to just that,” says Wendy Lingle, Executive Director of The Malvern School of Glen Mills. “NAEYC Accreditation lets families know that our program offers rich, well-rounded experiences that set students up for success.” Earning NAEYC Accreditation entails a rigorous assessment and observation process focused on 10 program standards and hundreds of corresponding individual criteria. These 10 standards include: relationships with children, curriculum, teaching approaches, child assessment, nutrition and health, staff qualifications, relationships with children’s families, community relations, physical environment, and program leadership and management. The Malvern School of Glen Mills received scores of 100 percent in nine out of ten of these areas. “For more than 30 years, NAEYC Accreditation of Early Learning Programs has set the standard for excellence for the early childhood field,” states the organization. “This accreditation system provides a mechanism for early learning programs to demonstrate their commitment to high-quality early childhood education.” Enrollment for the 2020 school year as well as summer camp is currently open at The Malvern School of Glen Mills.
