The private pre-school will host an open house on July 19, and will officially begin operations on August 4th.

JACKSON, NJ July 18—With the summer season almost nearing an end, parents will be preparing to send their children back to school. For those with young children, they will have the benefit of visiting The Malvern School of Jackson, the newest private pre-school in Central New Jersey. With a long tradition of giving back to the communities where their schools are located, Jackson Township is no exception. In addition to providing educational programs designed to increase their children’s academic success, The Malvern School is dedicated to the communities they serve, and working with parents to assure their children are learning in a stimulating and safe environment. On July 19, from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM at The Malvern School of Jackson, which is located on 385 County Line Rd., Jackson, NJ, residents are invited to an open house with games for the kids and guided tours for parents. It will mark the opening of the Malvern School’s 23 rd location, and the continuing expansion in to Central New Jersey, according to Kristen Waterfield, president and COO of the Malvern School. “For the past 16 years, we have been laser-focused on keeping our tradition of early childhood education excellence our top priority,” she said. “I have three young children myself, and am an elementary school teacher by training, so there is nothing more important to me than giving our students an innovative and exciting environment to learn. As one of the founders of The Malvern School, I couldn’t be happier to bring our nationally-recognized programs to parents and children right here in Jackson. And we hope that when parents visit us over the next few weeks, they can see what makes us so special, and why our schools consistently receive the NAEYC accreditation, the highest industry designation for superior quality and high standards. As part of the open house, parents will be able to take a guided tour of the school, meet the teachers and Directors, and see first-hand why the Malvern School is different than other programs offered for young children. For example, Malvern is the only pre-school in the country to offer “Mrs. Bush’s Story Time” events throughout the school year, where children listen to the former First Lady reading popular children’s books, then participate in specialized learning events designed by Malvern’s curriculum experts. More than 3,000 young children have been through the program, which has been popular with both parents and children. Waterfield said that The Malvern School differs from other private pre-schools because of their focus on innovation. “My business partner and I have been literally pioneers in the early childhood education, and were the first to create curricula designed to replace the old day- care models that were popular twenty years ago. Today, our schools are recognized as industry leaders, and our students have gone on to do really well in their educational careers. We’ve received so many letters crediting their success to being encouraged at an early age to love learning.” Waterfield added that all of the Malvern schools are involved in giving back to their communities, and that is part of the organization’s corporate culture. “I’ve always felt that we are an integral part of our communities, so over the years we’ve supported many great causes like Alex’s Lemonade Stand. As a business we have supported large and small non-profits, but we also encourage all of our 600-plus employees to do the same,” she said.
