Early childhood education program exceeds program standards for accreditation ERIAL, N.J. - February 26, 2018-- The Malvern School of Erial announced today that the early childhood education program has achieved re-accreditation from the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC), the nation’s largest early childhood accrediting organization. The coveted accomplishment is achieved by less than 10% of early childhood education centers in the country and it validates a high-quality program that provides families and young children with a superior educational experience in a nurturing environment. The Malvern School of Erial has been accredited by NAEYC since 2008 and the recent re-accreditation confirms their commitment to maintain an outstanding, high-quality program for the families of Erial, N.J. NAEYC Accreditation of an early childhood education program offers families the assurance that their young child is provided with a school that is safe, extremely prepared, and intentional about the child’s future success. Programs that are accredited are meticulously measured by NAEYC in 10 areas including: relationships with children, curriculum, teaching approaches, child assessment, nutrition and health, staff qualifications, relationship with children's families, relationship with the community, physical environment, and program leadership and management. “The process of accreditation by NAEYC involves the work of our directors, input from families and the education of our staff,” stated Director of Educational Programs at The Malvern School, Christle Seal. “It’s a demanding progression that in the end, rewards the hard work of the school and validates the quality of the education we provide our families every day.” [caption id="attachment_4440" align="alignleft" width="475"] Director of Education, Kate Levengood and Executive Director, Jennifer DeLaney[/caption] With a program only needing an 80% to pass accreditation, The Malvern School of Erial excelled with achieving 100%+ in eight out of the 10 program areas. In addition, each classroom also received high remarks with an average of 94.5%. NAEYC further commended The Malvern School of Erial for promoting positive relationships amongst children and adults, effective teaching practices that enhance each child’s learning and development, employing and supporting teaching staff that have strong educational qualifications, knowledge and professional commitment, and more. “The high scores and the outstanding praises that this school received for re-accreditation is a testimony to their dedication to The Malvern Way of educating children and their commitment to deliver families a high-quality early childhood education experience,” continued Seal.  In the 30 years since NAEYC Accreditation was established, it has become a widely recognized sign of high-quality early childhood education. Furthermore, with 7,000 programs currently accredited by NAEYC, The Malvern School of Erial has scored in the top 25% of all early childhood education programs for their portfolio documentation. The accreditation is valid for five years. “NAEYC-Accredited programs bring our definitions of excellence for early childhood education to life each day,” said Kristen Johnson, senior director of Early Learning Program Accreditation at NAEYC. “Earning NAEYC Accreditation makes The Malvern School of Erial an exemplar of good practice for families and the entire community.” For more information about The Malvern School of Erial and their outstanding NAEYC Re-Accreditation, visit MalvernSchool.com.
